So I’ve not been on here for a while, and that can only mean one thing, I have been way to busy! So I thought I would leave a brief update of what I have been doing. JOY has been my main focus, with a huge redesign of the website, please view it at joythestore.com, and let me know what you think! Already we are seeing a great impact and I have learnt soooo much in the process, developing an e-commerce platform for a commercial client. We have recently done an awesome SS’11 photoshoot, managed by the lovely Eleni and you can view some of the images on the JOY facebook page. I have met some great people and we have some exciting projects coming up so keep in touch! I love to hear from fashion bloggers / code geeks / photographers. Email me at molly.kelly@joythestore.com. Laters! x

So I have just become in-house Web Designer for a favourite store of mine, JOY. This is an exciting opportunity for me because not only will I be re-vamping the whole website to bring it inline with the fun stores I will also be styling product shoots and coming up with viral campaigns, and hopefully even designing some iphone apps! Visit the store here.

I recently styled a shoot for up and coming rock band Boredom Riots. I think these images encapsulate their raw sound and energy, and I love lead vocalist Ula’s ‘Soho callgirl’ inspired style, both come together to form a powerful stage presence. Boredom Riots’ own website will be launching soon as well as the online store for Ula’s own clothing label. Watch this spaces kiddies!x

Plastique Magazine has approached me to come up with a web concept to give issue 5 of Plastique Magazine an online platform. It pushes the boundaries of a traditional web template as the home page is a large format contact sheet, with a thumbnail of all the magazine spreads. Each thumbnail takes you through to a large double page spread, with its own unique magnifying zoom, so you can view the magazine at your pleasure in high resolution. See the progress so far here.

Now, Voyager is a vintage and retro boutique in South End, but for folks that can’t get (or wont get) to South End don’t worry because they have an online store! I designed their nautical style logo which I think works really well in black and white, as well as the candy coloured stripes version for the website.

I also designed the cute and super vintage online store which was built in Wordpress, using found images and nautical elements, and based the header menu design on a photo taken of the arcades at South End on Sea. Please click on the image to take you to the website!
